rated tonnage at different points of ram stroke and the hydraulic system shall
hold its rated tonnage for 3 minutes.
All controls shall be tested for
proper operation. The press shall be operated under conditions of continuous
production at maximum speeds and pressure. The hydraulic fluid
shal l
stabilize at a temperature of 1300 Fahrenheit or less, Following these
tests, the press shall be visually examined, without dismantling, for damage
to components, adjustment, alignment, and fluid leaks. All performance tests
shall be completed without making any adjustments to or performing any
maintenance on the machine.
4.7.4 Alignment tolerance test. Each press shall be tested to determine
compliance with th e alignment tolerance requirements of 3.4.5.
The alignment
tolerance test shall be-performed prior to and subsequent to the performance
test given in 4.7.3.
Any machine adjustments required to comply with 3.5
during or after the performance test shall be cause for rejection.
4.7.4.1 Additional performance tests. Performance tests
required in
addition to, or in lieu of, he requirements of 4.7.3 shall be as specified
