5.3.2 Operational test. Each press
selected for quality
conformance
inspection shall be operated at no load for not less than one half hour.
Proper operation of
all controls, motors,
adjusting mechanisms,
and
accessories shall be verified during the trial period.
5.3.3 Performance tests. Each press selected for quality
conformance
inspection shall be operated at 100 percent of its maximum rated tonnage for
a period of one hour and shall be completed without making any adjustments to
or performing any maintenance on the press.
5.3.4 Alignment test. Each press selected for quality conformance
inspection shall be tested to determine compliance with the alignment
requirements specified in para 3.2.
5.3.5 Packaging inspection. Packaging of each press selected for quality
conformance inspection shall be inspected to determine compliance with
packaging requirements as specified in the contract.
5.3.6 Environmental protection certification of conformance. The
contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product
offered complies with all environmental protection restrictions as required
herein. The Government reserves the right
to require proof of " such
conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise
provided for under the provisions of the contract.
6.
PRESERVATION, PACKAGING, PACKING, AND MARKING
6.1 Preservation, packaging, labeling, and marking. Preservation, packag-
ing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract order.
